Dear Busboys and Poets…why did I wait so long?

129Seriously?! U Street is such a hipster area, and this restaurant does not disappoint. Busboys and Poets is one hot spot. 130We arrived around lunchtime, and were seated in a booth up front with a fabulous view of the entire workings of the restaurant. This spot is really funky, fun, and fresh with Andy Warhol-esque paintings on the walls, Frida Kahlo featured in the back, and vibrant paint complementing the flood of natural lighting.

133I enjoyed a delicious burger with sweet potato fries. Bacon crisped just right, cheddar cheese covering the rich meat, and one shiny bun. Oh, those heavenly fries! 134And the hubby had chili. Next time I go I’ll order two bowls of the chili and won’t share with anyone. Out of this world!

I will definitely find my way back! You have to try this place!

On the road again,

Ms. Thrifty
