Ethiopian coffee and croissant

I’ve learned to take the recommendations of the house! The house always wins, right? This case is no different. At Sankofa Bookstore and Cafe I went with the house, and in this case I won. The strong, spiced Ethiopian coffee is flavorful, full, and delicious! And you can see that frothy is it’s middle name. I could go for a cup right now. And the croissant with salmon, cheese, and the spicy house sauce is unbelievable!

While waiting for your lovely meal, you can watch the steady traffic stream by from the large windows or outdoor seating or peruse the eclectic collection of books in the attached bookstore (hence the name). Books from every land, many conscious chronicles of the plight of people.

Overall an experience that takes you outside your regular routine, but into flavor central.

On the road again,

Ms. Thrifty
