Best honey ever

The title says it all. I have a thing about trying honey everywhere I travel, and definitely the variety in the area where I live. Honey is what I love. Every morning I have a spoonful on my warm oatmeal; it starts my day on the right note.

In the Loudoun County area, I have sampled nearly all of the honey. Not kidding! And if it were okay with my HOA, I would have a beehive buzzing in my backyard. Seeing as that isn’t going to happen any time soon, I put all my stock in Hidden Creek Apiary. A pound for $8. That’s a bargain! It’s golden, translucent in the light, and smooth to the taste.

It’s sold at the Leesburg Farmers’ Market on Saturday mornings during the warmer months.

And isn’t local honey supposed to help fight allergies? True or not, it is a fact that I’ve never suffered from allergies or a tasteless breakfast.

On the road again,

Ms. Thrifty
